Established in 1997 with Tiger fishing as its main focus, Redcliff has evolved to become a premier destination in the area, offering a rich cultural history and unmatched remoteness. The lodge was completed in 1999, and its design carefully considers environmental sensitivity and the privacy of our guests.
Under the ownership of Dion and Janice Driman, who took over the lodge in 2022, Redcliff Lodge is undergoing restoration work, including upgrades to boat engines and lodge equipment, and the installation of a new solar system is complete to ensure your comfort.
We are committed to providing an unforgettable stay for our guests, and we look forward to welcoming you to our lodge.
Nature is not only our business, but also our love and passion. Our desire to share the beauty of the natural world with others fuels our efforts to conserve it. As a river-based operation, we are particularly concerned about overfishing and the use of nets, which can have devastating effects on the fish populations of the Zambezi. That's why we have implemented a firm catch-and-release policy at our camp.
Another vital resource that we protect is our natural bush and trees. These are constantly under threat from loggers and charcoal makers, which is why we organize Day Walking Safaris for our guests. During these safaris, we showcase the importance of this natural habitat, not only for the local insect, bird, and animal life, but also for the local village communities who rely on it for their livelihoods.
We believe that conservation efforts are crucial to preserving the natural world for future generations. That's why we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment and promoting sustainable practices in everything we do. By working together, we can ensure that the beauty and diversity of the natural world continue to inspire and enrich our lives.
