Established in 1997 with Tiger fishing as its primary attraction, Redcliff has since transformed into a premier destination renowned for its rich cultural heritage and unparalleled seclusion. The lodge, meticulously crafted in 1999, prioritises environmental sustainability and guest privacy in its design.

Under new ownership since 2022, Redcliff Lodge is currently undergoing a restoration process. This includes enhancements to boat engines and lodge facilities. The installation of a new solar system has been completed to ensure optimal guest comfort.

Our dedication to providing an unforgettable experience for our guests remains unwavering. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to extend our hospitality and welcome you to our lodge.

Conservation Efforts

Nature is not only our business, but also our love and passion. Our desire to share the beauty of the natural world with others fuels our efforts to conserve it. As a river-based operation, we are particularly concerned about overfishing and the use of nets, which can have devastating effects on the fish populations of the Zambezi. That’s why we have implemented a firm catch-and-release policy at our camp.

Another vital resource that we protect is our natural bush and trees. These are constantly under threat from loggers and charcoal makers, which is why we organize Day Walking Safaris for our guests. During these safaris, we showcase the importance of this natural habitat, not only for the local insect, bird, and animal life, but also for the local village communities who rely on it for their livelihoods.

We believe that conservation efforts are crucial to preserving the natural world for future generations. That’s why we are committed to minimizing our impact on the environment and promoting sustainable practices in everything we do. By working together, we can ensure that the beauty and diversity of the natural world continue to inspire and enrich.
